COVID-19 update #4: We Are Open!

Starting Monday, April 6, 2020 we will be re-opening both locations of Aragao Family Chiropractic. Thank you for your patience over the past two weeks. Chiropractic offices are considered “essential” by the Office Of Homeland Security. For the health and safety of you, our patients, as well as as employees, please note the following:

  1. We are scheduling fewer appointments per hour in order to keep the number of people in the office at one time to a minimum. Should too many people arrive at once, we may ask you to wait in your car and we will call you in when your room is ready.
  2. Unless you need someone to help you into the office, we ask that anyone accompanying you to your appointment wait for you in the car.
  3. We disinfect every treatment table between patients. Door handles and frequently used surfaces are also disinfected.
  4. All healthcare providers have been advised to wear masks at all times. You will see all doctors and staff wearing masks. Please do not be alarmed. No one is the office is sick. Any symptomatic employees will stay home.

However we cannot see you if any of the following apply:

  1. You or anyone in your family has a fever, or has had one in the last two weeks. (The incubation period for COVID-19) can be as long as 24 days.
  2. If you or any family members have any symptoms of a cold or flu. Symptoms include fever, tiredness and a cough that isn’t necessarily productive. You may also have or have had aches and pains, runny nose or nasal congestion, pink eye/conjunctivitis, and vomiting or diarrhea.
  3. If you have traveled abroad in the last 2-4 weeks.
  4. If you have been near anyone who has potentially had the virus through their own family or work contact. People can be contagious without symptoms.

High-risk patients should try to delay coming in if possible. High risk patients are those who:

  1. Are immunocompromised.
  2. Are undergoing chemotherapy.
  3. Are diabetic.
  4. Have heart disease.
  5. Have high blood pressure.
  6. Have asthma or another respiratory issue.
  7. Are over 60 years of age.

Wishing everyone health and safety,

Dr. Dave & Dr. Fran

COVID-19 update #2: Office Closure

As always, we are honored that you have chosen us to care for you. As a precaution for the safety of the community, we are temporarily closing the office for two weeks based upon recommendations from RIDOH (the department of health) and CDC (Centers for Disease Control). We receive daily updates from RIDOH and participate with hundreds of doctors around the state in official conference calls.

All appointments are cancelled until April 6, 2020. Over the next two days we will be making calls to reschedule any appointments that have already been made.

At this time, while the confirmed cases are low, the actual number of cases is likely much higher. The situation is changing rapidly and there is much we don’t know. We feel it is our obligation to minimize the spread of this virus in any way we can.

We will be posting updates to our clinic website and Facebook page regarding the status of our clinic’s operations. In the meantime, please follow the recommendations of our public health officials and government agencies.

We are grateful for each and every one of you. We appreciate your support and wish you and everyone you love good health during these challenging times.

Yours in health,

Drs. David & Fran Aragao and The Staff of Aragao Family Chiropractic

COVID-19 update #1

Some patients have asked questions about how we at Aragao Family Chiropractic are dealing with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Rest assured that we (as always) strive to keep a safe and healthy environment at our two office locations.

We disinfect every treatment table between patients. Door handles and frequently used surfaces are also disinfected twice per day. All staff members are trained in personal hygiene practices that follow all guidelines from the RI Department of Health (RIDOH) and the CDC.

All individuals should follow the recommendations of their doctors, the RIDOH, and the CDC:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html

We encourage all our patients to not panic. Get plenty of sleep, stay well-hydrated, eat nutritious foods, take your supplements and maintain your exercise routine.

We will remain open unless further restrictions are imposed by the government. If you choose to stay home, we understand. Please call the office during regular office hours to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Otherwise, please keep your appointment times. We will do our best to “get you in and get you out” so our patients will not linger in our waiting room.

Yours in Health,

Drs. Fran & David Aragao and the staff of Aragao Family Chiropractic
