Doctor of Chiropractic Dr. David Aragao ChiropractorDiplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists

Dr. David Aragao was born in Rhode Island and raised in Cumberland. After graduating from Cumberland High School, he attended Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitative Sciences as a physical therapy major. While there he met a chiropractor who challenged him to take his education further. Switching to pre-chiropractic/pre-med he then moved to Illinois to pursue his dream. After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from the National College of Chiropractic (now the National University of Health Sciences) he returned to Illinois to complete a two-year residency in non-surgical orthopedics, earning a Diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics (D.A.B.C.O.). During that time he met his future wife Frances.

In 1994 they were married in Illinois, and then moved to Rhode Island to set up their first office in Cumberland. The Woonsocket location was added in 1998. Over the years, Dr. Dave and Dr. Fran have pursued more and more education. One of the highlights was studying with world renowned neurologists and musculoskeletal experts Vladimir Janda, M.D. and Karel Lewit, M.D. at Charles University School of Medicine in the Czech Republic.

The focus of their practice has always been on helping people become more independent through better health. As Dr. Dave likes to say “my job is to keep you out of our office.” With that in mind, Drs. Aragao keep up with all the latest developments in musculoskeletal medicine. In addition to “hands on” chiropractic, they have specialized training and experience in the use of low level laser therapy (LLLT), kinesiology taping (featuring RockTape), and customizable home exercise programs.

Dr. Dave is the proud father of two children. He is an active member of his church, as both a member of its music ministry and the Knights of Columbus. When he is not wrangling his dog and two cats, he enjoys traveling with his family, live theater, concerts and movies.
